It used to be a bit of a squeeze getting everyone into a single tent. Rather like people stuffing themselves into telephone boxes, hardened campers all have their own improbable tales to tell of close knit nights under canvas with a few too many friends. Fortunately it doesn’t have to be like that any more.
Group tents are now freely available which will accommodate you - and your friends - and your friends’ guests – and their baggage – and all with room to spare! From two berth tents at the more modest end of the scale right the way through to cavernous canvas structures for nine (and in some cases, even more!)
Some of the ‘multi occupancy’ tents are more like small estates than traditional tents; complete with separate rooms, main living areas, patios and vestibules! Even the smaller group tents are roomier than you might expect. The popular dome style design gives more room where it matters: room to sit up in the middle of the night without rupturing the canvas roof!
Group tents aren’t just roomier, they’re easier than ever to assemble. Pitch the fly sheet first (or pitch as one,) extend the flexible rods and the structure takes shape in minutes. And just because they’ll variously sleep between two and nine people, they won’t take a committee to assemble!
Group tents can be so generously proportioned that they actually feel like a home away from home. Rain proof, wind resistant and insulated from the cold, (not to mention each other’s snoring) by ‘canvas’ where it counts, you can pitch up and party whenever you want. Invite your friends – there’s room to spare!
